Breeder’s Education Report, 2008 National
We had an absolutely fabulous turn out in October 2008 at
the National for our ringside and round table Breeders Ed
mentoring sessions. My warmest thanks to those who agreed to
mentor and take the time to help out. A list with contact
information is included. My appreciation to those who
participated by attending the sessions who showed a sincere
and ongoing interest in learning about the Breed and
breeding - please see the listing included. I have also
included a copy of the Reading List generated by the
Mentors.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that an expanded
version of Breeders Ed will be offered in conjunction with
the 2009 National this year. We will, again, offer 2
sessions of ringside mentoring and additionally offer 2
sessions of hands on mentoring with puppies from the
Futurity. All mentoring will be done in connection with the
Futurity events and days. Information for these programs
will follow however if you would like to reserve early just
email me at kvathome@hotmail.com and let me know and I will
put you on the reservation list. The cost will be $15 for
all 4 sessions.
Breeders Education Interviews on the GDCA parent club will
no longer appear. The format of this program will be changed
to a question and answer format shortly. Look for the
announcement and have your questions ready!
